Cribside needs two Apple devices, both with the app installed, on the same Wi-Fi network (or close enough for a direct device-to-device connection).
If the other phone doesn't have Cribside yet, use Send them the app on the pairing or sharing screen to text them a free install link.
Codes change every time the pairing screen opens, so read the current one from the nursery screen. After several wrong attempts the nursery device pauses pairing briefly — wait for the countdown, tap New code, and try again. Scanning the QR code avoids typos entirely.
Keep the nursery device plugged in and let its screen dim rather than closing the app. Cribside keeps streaming in the background, but iOS may stop an app that runs out of battery or overheats. Avoid covering the device or leaving it in direct sun or under bedding.
One purchase covers your whole household. On a phone that already has Cribside, open Settings → Add a phone to your household and show the QR code. On the new phone, tap I have a code and scan or type it. No second purchase, no Apple Family required, no account for anyone.
Cribside is free to download with a 3-day trial, then a single purchase that never renews. Use Restore Purchases in the app if a purchase doesn't appear on a device — it also picks up family-shared purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com; write to us as well and we'll help with whatever prompted it.
Not supported in this version. Cribside is local-only by design, which is exactly why there is no cloud that could leak your video. If away-from-home viewing is added later it will be optional, and nothing you already paid for will change.
Read the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. In short: Cribside collects nothing, and it assists supervision rather than replacing it — never rely on it as your only means of checking on a child.
